I think James was glad to be home. He hasn't reacted poorly at all to Nate being here. It took him a few days to realize there was even someone here. It took another week or so for him to start being curious. Then once he realized this baby was here every day, all day, he decided the appropriate thing to do was to kiss the baby all the time... big, open-mouth James kisses!
I think Nate very much enjoys being part of the Carruthers family! ;-)
