4th of July 2014

4th of July this year I did not get many pictures - at all!!

It was a whirlwind of a day filled with hanging out with our visiting friends, packing for our upcoming trip, then off to Sheri's for the 4th of July party.

Yep, those are all the pictures I have. Pretty exciting, huh?!
I didn't even get a picture of Beth in her cute red, white, and blue dress.  :-/

Thankfully, there were no unplanned explosions like last year's fireworks show!

James was questioning the edible-ness of the grapes I gave him for dinner. Question after question... 

Finally, I turned to him and said: "James, I'm your mom. Would I give you bad food?"

James: "Yes! You give me veggies all the time!"

Friends in town!

On July 3rd, our friends Brian and LeAnn (with their kids Landon and Colin) came up from Portland to stay with us and celebrate the 4th of July!

It was fun catching up with everyone. The kids had a blast playing together and, of course, I got some good baby snuggles in while I could!

Our 9th Anniversary

On July 1st, John and I celebrated 9 years of marriage. Nine years seems unreal!

It was one of the first beautiful days of the summer so we took the boat for a cruise around Lake Washington. 

We went from Magnuson Park to the Ballard Locks, then stopped for a late dinner at Daniel's.

We left Daniel's around 10pm when we realized that we weren't entirely sure when our boat launch closed for the night! We raced back to the launch with about 10 minutes to spare before they closed the gates. Phew!

We had such a fun evening. I'm so thankful 9 wonderful years with my man!

Summer Jumping

We're in the middle of a busy summer and I love all the craziness!

After camping at Lake Chelan, we busted out the sprinkler. Sprinkler-jumping pictures are the best!
