The Rest of Summer - Part 4

We've also used the fishing boat (lovingly referred to as the "Aluma-raft") a lot this summer. But not so much for catching fish..... Sorry, sore subject!

Lake Roesiger has become a favorite little lake spot.

James and Nate usually help John with the boat. James "holds the boat" while Nate watches the trailer and "tells Dad if he's doing a good job or not".

We also ventured out into the Sound a couple times. The longest trip the entire family did was from the Port of Everett to Mukilteo Landing for some ice cream.

(This is how Bethy does "thumbs up")
Sunset over Jetty Island

One of our most relaxing trips was when we took the little boat up the Snohomish River with friends (and without kids). It was a beautiful summer evening.

The Rest of Summer - Part 3

We spent an afternoon at my parent's camping lot when Madi, Sam, and Tori spent the weekend with them this summer.

The kids parents love driving the golf cart around  ;-)

First stop, of course, was the pool.

The association has an amazing area for kids. The pool, outdoor play areas...

Indoor play areas, arts & crafts stations.....

And the entire upstairs is for adults - table games, tv with video games, board games... Pretty cool areas.

Back at the campsite Bethy enjoyed her own pink campfire chair.

Grandma also taught the boys how to play Candy Land this summer, so we have played a lot!

Carly had a soccer tournament up here in Snohomish, so the kids and I joined everyone for the games.

We also did shaving cream (round 2) OUTSIDE.

It was all fun and games until it was time to wash it off - in the sprinkler water. Brrrr.

The Rest of Summer - Part 2

On the boat with the Clarks!

Auntie Kim took James school shopping. (Thank you, Auntie Kim!)  James kept finding things that he "really needed" for school. He came home with all sorts of goodies, but we convinced him that these probably wouldn't be needed in Pre-K!

Auntie Katie came over for a craft day with the kids.

Brave woman.

This mess and sound asleep girlie happened during our less than 10 minute drive home.

Working on the fishing boat with Dad.

The Rest of Summer - Part 1

Sidewalk chalk!

Lake Washington boat cruise and dinner with some of our favorite people.

Hours of playdough. (The tractors are in sleeping bags.)

Water park with the Clarks. James, Nate and Ethan are all 13 months apart. Stair-step boys!

Beth

Playing on our playground. It needs some tlc, but the kids don't even notice.

Over the summer, Beth has grown up. She just wants to be a kid and do kid things... But these cheeks are still my favorite!
