15 Weeks!

As of Friday, I'm officially 15 weeks! I think the queasiness is slowing and it doesn't feel like I need to eat every hour to stay feeling well! I still don't think I feel pregnant at all, and definitely don't look it!

Sorry, still no pictures. I didn't realize what a pain it is to look presentable and have a camera and a camera operator avaliable for a few minutes to snap a photo! Consequently, no picture! But not to worry, I'm not really even showing yet and next week I'll really really try to have one!

It came!!

Yay! It finally came! I made a special trip to the mailbox this morning when I saw they delivered my "Ingrid & Isabel BellaBand"! So... I can't wait to try it on and see if its everything I've ever hoped for!

Stupid question...

Can the baby feel you sneeze? I've sneezed a few times and it seems like the baby would totally feel it. Just a weird question if anyone knows! =)

He can do whatever he like...

Saturday Night...

So, once a year I go to the gun range with John. I have two main goals for this evening of manliness:

- To keep John happy.
- To prove that if someone were to break in the house while John was gone, I would know how to use a gun and hopefully hit the intruder instead of the dog!

13 weeks

So isn't today supposed to be the magical day that all sickness disappears and suddenly I have bounds of energy? For poor John's sake, I hope so! I think I've officially been more sick in the last 3 days than all of last week combined, but whatever... it's a baby!

It's really weird to think that the first trimester is over already! And I bet it just goes faster from here on out! This is SO cool!

A neighborly update...

Good thing they planted the grass seed on Saturday!

Our California trip

So this is just a bit of our quick roadtrip to California last weekend. We just went for the Friday event called "King of Hammers" over in Johnson Valley, CA (2 hrs east of LA). It's basically a big desert race for buggys (really, that's all I chose to know!). It was actually quite beautiful if you ignored all the jeeps and red necks and focused on the time away from work and 78* weather!

This was the setup...

And one of the reasons the trip down took 26 hours

In the distance are about half the trucks and campers literally parked in the desert camping all week. NOT my idea of a great vacation!

The first part of the day, we just drove around and checked things out. You could follow the little roads through the weeds, or really go wherever you wanted. It was the desert afterall!

As part of the race, you could be driving down a (not clearly marked) main trail and suddenly have to dive into the bushes because a racer was coming straight at you!

I was the official dog watcher!

Part of the race was going through the big rocky canyons. Super redneck. Look at us all sitting there like spectators!

I like this picture. In one of the canyons we were watching, the "video helicopter" was filming the action. We were looking down on the racers AND the helicopter!

Like I said, it was actually pretty beautiful, but in a totally NOT northwest sort of way!

Our California trip, pt 2

After hanging out and driving around all day, I followed John in the jeep so he could ride his dirt bike on the sand dunes. He said it was the most fun riding he's ever done!

Again, I got to be the dog watcher!

This catches a little more clearly how big and steep the dunes were. John is the speck almost at the top of the hill!

He kept it pretty entertaining!

The last day and a half of the trip we spent with Jonathan and Susi. It was SO much fun sum it up! We were actually having so much fun, we decided to stay an extra night to hang out with them longer. I ended up flying home Sunday after church to be home in time for work and John (and Angus) had to do the roadtrip home by themselves!

Anyone in for starting a petition to get LAPD moved to Seattle? ;-)

Camping in the lap of luxury...

We couldn't help but sneak pictures of this set up! They might as well have taken their living room couch with them... oh wait, they did! These people spared no expense to be comfortable on their vacation!

Notice the nice secluded spot and scenic background they chose...

The glory is in the details: The anti-fatigue mats, tv tray, bbq, outdoor shower, and is that a pop-up hamper?

And one last look at their high-tech, ultra-sophisticated, fairly inexpensive leveling apparatus...

Love it!!

12 week ultrasound

I tried to label what I remembered from the doctor! When we were in the office getting the ultrasound, we were both totally seeing everything as he was pointing it out... but about an hour later looking at the pictures, we both had no idea what was what!

The coolest part was being able to see the little heartbeat in its chest. He didn't hook me up to hear it at all, but we saw a little spot in its chest beating super fast... if only they sent us home with video!

5 week ultrasound

To keep things in order, this is our 5 week ultrasound. They did it to figure out how far along I was, and surprisingly it was right on! September 18th is the official due date!

I couldn't pass this up...

So our new neighbors across the street are SERIOUSLY planting grass seed in the dumping snow! I used my sleuth pink power ranger skills to sneak a picture for the books!

So this is our blog...

By popular demand (Keri Keri Keri), I have decided to start a blog! I'm still totally feeling my way around and until I get a creative gene, I'm mostly copying other people! But, I wanted an easy way to share baby stuff, life, etc... Enjoy!
