Anniversary Trip

Last weekend John and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary. Not sure how we're already on year 8 - but it's been a great ride!

John's mom took all the kids while we got away for the weekend at some condos in Roslyn Ridge. We've been wanting to check this place out for a while and I'm so glad we went.

Within 10 minutes of arrival, the rain started pouring as a huge storm rolled through.

The rain only lasted a few minutes and we headed out to the pool. I haven't gone swimming without kids in a long time so that was a lot of fun!

That night, we headed over to Suncadia for a late dinner. The clouds/fog rolling through the valley was so neat to watch.

After dinner, we took some drinks out to the Suncadia "backyard" area. The view was amazing and it was so warm and peaceful.

Next, we headed over to the Brick in Roslyn. Last year we had a blast hanging out here. This year, there were two bizarre female bands playing so we were outta there pretty quick.

The next morning (afternoon, really) we ran into Wally's old jeep on our way to grab some breakfast.

After breakfast, we took a drive down the lake and stopped to check out one of the rivers. It was ice-numbing-cold.

We took the long way home through Leavenworth and made a few stops on our way so the mister could grab some souvenirs.

And that's basically our entire weekend! I'm so thankful for 8 years with the man.  :-)
