Pine Creek Nursery Field Trip

James' class had a field trip to a local nursery a couple of weeks ago. The kids had fun learning about how to grow seeds: the soil, seeds, water, sun, and drainage.

They looked and listened for frogs.

James held on to B's hood while they were next to the water without me even asking.

They asked all the pre-k kids to climb up on the rocks for a group picture. Nate dove right in and found a photogenic spot on the right.

James and Bethy were WAY out of the picture. Half the people probably thought Nate was James though.

They learned about mulch, bark, rocks and sand. Then did some more climbing.

After that, each of the kids got to plant their own bean seeds. Right now, the bean plants are in our back yard and have almost grown as tall as the kiddos!
